Since I’m a hopeless romantic and I know that most of you are, too, I chose a very romantic theme this time: Kisses.

There are all sorts of kisses, and we’ve probably seen them all: From a couple’s first kiss that marks the beginning of a love story, to a goodbye kiss before lovers have to go their separate ways, from kisses that openly celebrate a love, to secret kisses exchanged by two people who have to hide their love.

But which one is your favourite? Which one do you think was the most romantic, passionate, sexy, gentle, or maybe just the most unexpected? Here’s your chance to let us know.

You can vote for any kiss that ever happened on-screen – i.e. in a movie, on TV or on a web series – between two women, two men or a man and a woman. You can either name the characters or the actresses/actors. Apart from the movie/TV show/web series the kiss was on, please also include a brief description of the relevant scene, especially if the characters had more than one kissing scene. In case of a TV show or web series, it’d be great if you could also name the episode or at least the season.

Make sure to submit your vote before midnight on Sunday, July 11 (CET), and please only vote once.

After Carlos has finally agreed to take over the bakery with her, Heidi calls Kerstin at Back Dat to tell her the good news. Kerstin is happy for Heidi, but after hanging up the phone she looks around the bakery with a sad look in her eyes.

The next day, while she is alone at Back Dat, Kerstin reminisces about the time when she she opened the bakery, but then she also thinks of Juliette and how in love she is with her.

When Inge comes to the bakery to buy some cake, she and Kerstin talk about Kerstin’s plans to move to France with Juliette. Inge notices that Kerstin doesn’t seem to be very excited about it. Kerstin tells her that it’s not easy to give up her life in Marienhof, but Inge replies that she can always take the Marienhof with her – in her heart.

Kerstin is still a little nostalgic, and says that so many wonderful things happened to her during her time at Marienhof and who knows what it’s going to be like in France, but Inge reminds her that “nostalgia is just the memory of a past that never was”.

Later, Kerstin and Heidi talk about Back Dat. Kerstin has a few tips regarding the assortment of pastries she thinks Heidi should continue to offer at the bakery. Juliette overhears their conversation, and realizes how hard it is for Kerstin to let go. When she gently confronts Kerstin with it, Kerstin denies it.

Juliette still tells Kerstin that it would be okay if she felt like things are going too fast, but Kerstin replies that saying goodbye won’t get easier by delaying it. She admits that she at first thought that she would miss Marienhof, but that she realized that there are some things that she will not miss.

She takes Juliette’s hands, and quotes German author Hermann Hesse: “Und jedem Anfang wohnt ein Zauber inne, der uns beschützt und der uns hilft zu leben.” (Loosely translated: “There’s a certain charm inherent in every new beginning, which protects us und which helps us to live.”)

Kerstin says that Juliette is bringing about this certain charm, every day anew, and that she loves her. Juliette smiles, and they kiss.

Kerstin is in the kitchen when she gets a call from her daughter Marie, who lives in England. Marie tells Kerstin that she just arrived at the airport for a surprised visit. Kerstin is stunned, but offers to pick Marie up from the airport.

When Kerstin tells Juliette that Marie is at the airport, Juliette is happy for Kerstin and doesn’t get why Kerstin seems so tense, until Kerstin admits that Marie doesn’t know about Kerstin’s relationship with Juliette yet.

When Juliette asks her what happened to the letter she wanted to write, Kerstin replies that she tried, but that it just didn’t feel right. Matter-of-factly (but with a slight smirk), Juliette states that it seems that Kerstin will have to tell her daughter face-to-face that she is into women now – a scenario that Kerstin obviously dreads.

When Kerstin, her daughter Marie and her granddaughter Alina arrive at the apartment, Marie explains to Kerstin that it has been so long since Kerstin’s last email that she decided to buy a cheap ticket and fly over from England. She wants to know what happened between Kerstin and Raul, but Kerstin – who first makes sure that Juliette isn’t anywhere around – tries to dodge her questions, saying that she and Raul just drifted apart.

Kerstin sits down next to Marie and starts off her first attempt to tell Marie the truth by saying that there are many different ways to attain happiness, but Marie gets distracted because her daughter is hungry.

Kerstin and Marie are sitting on the sofa and are taking care of Alina when Juliette returns to the apartment. She is all smiles and welcomes Marie, until Kerstin introduces her as her new roommate. Juliette seems a little aghast, but manages to put a good face on the matter.

But then Kerstin changes her mind and says that there is something she has to tell Marie about Juliette and herself. That’s – of course – when Marie’s cell phone starts to ring. It is Inge, who demands to see her great-grandchild right away. [Writer's note:  Marie's boyfriend Steve is Inge's grandson.]

After Marie has left, Kerstin asks Juliette whether she thinks that she is a coward, but Juliette comforts her. She says that she can imagine that it’s not so easy for Kerstin, but that the most important thing is that Marie learns the news from Kerstin and not from anybody else. That’s when Kerstin rushes to the phone to call Inge and ask her not to say anything to Marie. Inge is reluctant at first, as she thinks that Marie should know the truth, but then agrees.

Marie is on her way to Inge when she runs into Raul. She tells him that she is sorry about his breakup with Kerstin, then asks him what happened.

Kerstin and Juliette are clearing the tables outside of Back Dat and make a plan for Kerstin’s conversation with Marie. Juliette suggests that Kerstin should just tell Marie how she feels, that she is in love with Juliette.

Meanwhile, Marie, who is on the way back to the apartment, is talking to her boyfriend Steve on the phone and complains that nobody is telling her what happened between Kerstin and Raul, not even Raul.

Outside of Back Dat, Juliette compliments Kerstin on having such a wonderful daughter. Kerstin is a little embarrassed, but then accepts the compliment. Kerstin and Juliette smile at each other, then Juliette tells Kerstin that she loves her. Kerstin replies that she loves Juliette, too, and they kiss.

Of course, that’s when Marie shows up on the other side of the street and sees them.

Monday, May 17, 2010 (3818)

Juliette tries to convince Kerstin to move to France with her so they can make a fresh start, but Kerstin isn’t very open to the idea. She tells Juliette that she came to Marienhof to build up a new life and a new business there and that she cannot just give it all up again.

Juliette is disappointed and a little angry. She asks Kerstin whether she ever thought about her and where she fits into this life at Marienhof. Kerstin replies that she in fact did and hands Juliette the contract she had drafted to make Juliette her business partner.

The next morning, Sülo comes to Back Dat to get a cup of coffee. He and Kerstin talk about what’s going on in their lives, and he tells her that he is happy with his life as it is, with all the ups and downs he had to go through, and that he learned a valuable lesson, which is that very often the prospects that at first look the least promising are actually the best. Kerstin starts to look pensive when she hears him say that.

After Sülo has left, Kerstin looks up the village in France in which the patisserie of Juliette’s uncle is located on the internet. She is interrupted by Juliette, who asks her to come back to the bakery to help with the customers. When Juliette wants to know what Kerstin is doing on the computer, Kerstin tells her that it wasn’t anything important. Juliette looks skeptical, but then returns to the bakery with Kerstin.

While she and Kerstin are taking care of their customers, Juliette overhears a conversation between Kerstin and Inge, a customer and friend of Kerstin, who praises the delicious pastries that Kerstin is selling and says that it’s great to have Kerstin at Marienhof, and not just because of her pastries. After Inge has left, Juliette and Kerstin throw a meaningful glance at each other.

Later, Kerstin is clearing the tables outside Back Dat when the new nameplate that she mounted next to the door the day before catches her eye. She gets a screwdriver to demout it again, and while she is doing that, she has to think of Juliette.

Meanwhile, Juliette is in the kitchen to make chocolates when she suddenly has to think of the first time she and Kerstin made chocolates together, and about the first time they made love.

When Kerstin returns to the apartment, Juliette tells her that she cannot expect Kerstin to just leave her life behind to move to France with her, that it was a bad idea and that Kerstin should forget about it.

Kerstin smiles, then asks Juliette where they are going to live in France. While it slowly dawns on Juliette what Kerstin is implying, Kerstin says that her life at Marienhof in fact means a lot to her, but that Juliette means a lot more to her. Then she tells Juliette that she will move to France with her. Juliette is overjoyed, and they seal the deal with a kiss.

Juliette and Kerstin tell Heidi that they are going to leave Marienhof to move to France together. Heidi of course isn’t too happy about it, but then Kerstin tells her that she wants Heidi to take over Back Dat. Heidi is thrilled, until she realizes that she cannot afford the compensation for furniture and equipment.

At Daily’s, Kerstin tells Raul that she and Juliette are leaving Marienhof to live in France. When she says that Heidi would love to take over the bakery but cannot afford the compensation, Raul suggests that Heidi could pay by installments. Kerstin makes this suggestion to Heidi, who is overjoyed.

But later, when Heidi returns to the bakery, she hears Juliette say that Kerstin cannot afford to let Heidi pay by installments as they need the money for their fresh start in France.

No Kerstin & Juliette scenes. With a little help from Raul and Carlos’ daughter Carolina, Heidi manages to convince her boyfriend to take over Back Dat together with her so she can pay the compensation all at once.

Kerstin is still unwell. After she had to throw up again, Heidi jokes that if she didn’t know it better, she would think that Kerstin is pregnant. Kerstin dismisses this thought as well, but then she remembers having sex with Raul after she stopped him from going to Spain, and suddenly a pregnancy isn’t such an unlikely scenario anymore.

Kerstin goes to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test. She is on her way home when Juliette finds her. Juliette is worried that Kerstin is not feeling better yet. She wonders whether it might have something to do with her, or maybe Raul, and suggests that the whole situation might be overwhelming for Kerstin.

Kerstin dismisses Juliette’s assumptions in a harsh tone, and says that all she has is an upset stomach. Juliette tries to calm her down and suggests to take Kerstin home, where she is going to take care of her. Kerstin agrees.

At the apartment, Juliette has made Kerstin tea and then leaves her alone. After she is gone, Kerstin gets the pregnancy test out of her bag and starts to read the instructions when Juliette suddenly returns. When she sees the test, Juliette gets upset and asks Kerstin for an explanation.

Kerstin tells her that she might be expecting a child from Raul. Juliette is hurt that Kerstin didn’t tell her about it earlier. When Kerstin tries to explain that she hasn’t even told Raul and that she doesn’t have any idea how he would react, Juliette gets furious and asks Kerstin if it shouldn’t be more important for her to learn how she, Juliette, reacts. Then she storms out.

Later, Kerstin is sitting alone in the living room and nervously waiting for the outcome of the test.

When Juliette returns to the apartment, Kerstin tells her that she made the test but can’t get herself to check the result. She asks Juliette to do it. Juliette takes a look at the test, then tells Kerstin that she is not pregnant. Kerstin is relieved and enthusiastically hugs Juliette, then gets up and says that she feels like drinking a glass of champaign.

But for some reason, Juliette does not seem to share Kerstin’s relief. When Kerstin asks her what’s up, Juliette replies that she always wanted to have a child, and that she’d love to raise a child with Kerstin. But Kerstin tells Juliette right away that having another child is out of the question for her at the moment.

Juliette looks sad and says that she understands. Then she adds that she feels like she is only an attachment to Kerstin’s life, not a part of it.

The next morning at Back Dat, Kerstin tells Heidi that she realized that she and Juliette have different ideas regarding their life together. Before Heidi can say anything, the mailwoman comes in and hands them a letter for Juliette. It’s from her family in France. Kerstin is surprised that Juliette gave them her address, as Juliette still has her own apartment, but Heidi says that it might be because Juliette feels more at home at Kerstin’s place than at her own.

Later, Kerstin is mounting a new nameplate with both her and Juliette’s name next to the front door of the bakery when Sülo stops by. He notices the new nameplate, and Kerstin tells him that she wants to make Juliette co-owner of Back Dat. Sülo wonders whether this is such a good idea, but Kerstin is convinced that she is doing the right thing and that Juliette will agree with her.

Meanwhile, Juliette is on the phone with her mother, who tells her that her uncle has to give up his business, a patisserie, because he is gout-ridden and can’t work anymore. Juliette starts to cry and tells her mother that she is homesick.

In the evening, Kerstin is waiting for Juliette at the apartment, where she wants to show her the paperwork she has prepared to make Juliette her business partner. When Juliette shows up, Kerstin notices how enthusiastic she is.

Juliette gets out some pictures her mother sent her of her uncle’s house and patisserie back in France and shows them to Kerstin. She tells Kerstin that her uncle has to give up his business and says that this is their chance to start a new life together.

Then she asks a surprised Kerstin to move to France with her.

Kerstin is happy when Raul decides to accept Juliette’s offer to move in with them. Although none of them has any idea how their “living arrangement” is going to be like, they decide to give it a try.

When Kerstin tells Heidi about their plan to live together, Heidi is skeptical as she does not believe for a minute that Raul is ready to share Kerstin with Juliette. In fact, Raul tells Carlos that he only accepted Juliette’s proposal because he sees it as an opportunity to win Kerstin back.

Raul arrives at the apartment with his bags and a bouquet of roses. Kerstin welcomes him with an embrace. When Juliette sees them, she is obviously jealous but puts up a brave front. Still, from that moment on, she and Raul try to outdo each other in trying to win Kerstin’s attention.

Their rivalry becomes manifest again when it comes to decide who sleeps where, as of course both of them want to sleep in the bed with Kerstin. They eventually decide to draw lots. As a result, Kerstin gets to sleep in the bed, Raul on a mattress on the floor right beside the bed, and Juliette has to settle for the sofa on the other side of the room.

But none of them is actually able to sleep. When Kerstin gets up and goes over to the kitchen to get a glass of milk, Raul follows her and tries to seduce her. Just when Kerstin is about to give in and kiss him, they get interrupted by Juliette.

Tuesday, May 4, 2010 (3810)

In the kitchen, Juliette, Kerstin and Raul are looking at each other for a while, until Raul finally suggests to go back to bed. Juliette agrees. Both she and Raul make sure that the other one leaves the kitchen as well and none of them stays in the kitchen with Kerstin. After they have left, Kerstin stays alone in the kitchen, looking miserable. Then she goes back to bed as well.

The next morning, Raul tells Carlos about what happened the night before, and that Kerstin looked at both him and Juliette with so much love. When Carlos suggests to Raul that he should have a threesome with the two women, Raul dismisses that suggestion and says that he loves Kerstin, but doesn’t know how much longer he can put up with Juliette.

Back at the apartment, Raul and Juliette talk about the situation they are in, that they both want Kerstin and that Kerstin wants them both. They agree that, at least for the moment, it is better to leave sex aside as it would only make things more complicated.

But Raul’s good intentions are gone when, in the evening, he and Kerstin find themselves alone in the apartment. Raul is not wearing a shirt, and Kerstin is so turned on by his bare chest that she cannot control herself and they start to make out.

By the time Juliette returns from her yoga class, Raul and Kerstin have made it to the bed. Juliette is of course not very excited to see her girlfriend in bed with her ex, but then Kerstin sees Juliette and reaches out for her. Juliette goes over to the bed and kisses Kerstin – much to the surprise of an unsuspecting Raul, who suddenly finds himself in-between the two women.

Wednesday, May 5, 2010 (3811)

While a perplexed Raul is looking on, Kerstin takes Juliette’s coat off and continues to kiss her. But after a moment, Raul gets up and leaves the bed.

After Kerstin and Raul got dressed again, both Raul and Juliette come to the conclusion that they deceived themselves and that living together would never work. Kerstin still wants to give it another try, but Raul says that he does not want to share her, that he wants her completely. He tells her that it’s over, then leaves the apartment.

Kerstin is devastated. Juliette starts to reach out for her to comfort her, but then stops herself.

Raul goes over to Daily’s and gets the ring that he took off a few days earlier. Kerstin is on her way to Daily’s as well. But when she sees Raul through the window, she turns around to go away and suddenly finds herself face to face with Juliette, who followed her.

Kerstin looks at Juliette for a moment, then walks away without saying a word. But Juliette continues to follow her, and the next time Kerstin turns around and sees her, she eventually goes over and embraces her. Juliette kisses Kerstin.

Later, Raul returns to the apartment to pack his things. Kerstin apologizes for hurting him. When she says that she is going to miss him, he replies that she made her choice and that she can’t have everything. He returns the keys to the apartment and hands her his ring, then he leaves.

After he is gone, Kerstin looks at a picture of the two of them and silently says “Good bye”.

Kerstin’s sister-in-law Lisa is at Wilder Mann and reads in a magazine when she suddenly discovers Hanne’s photo spread of Juliette and the other model. She shows it to Stefano, the owner of the restaurant, and they talk about Kerstin and Juliette. Stefano tells Lisa that Kerstin kissed Juliette in front of everybody.

They quickly change the subject when Raul comes in, but Lisa cannot stop Raul from looking at the magazine. He of course discovers the article, which also includes a picture of Juliette together with Kerstin. Lisa and Stefano feel a little awkward, but much to their surprise, Raul says that it’s okay and that Kerstin and Juliette actually are a cute couple.

The next morning, Kerstin is outside Back Dat and tries to hang up a small billboard when Juliette joins her and gives her a hand. Raul comes by on the other side of the street and sees them.

Kerstin starts to write on the board. When she writes “Petit Fous” instead of “Petit Fours”, Juliette smiles and points out to Kerstin that she just offered to sell small crazy people instead of pastries. Kerstin laughs and corrects her mistake, then she and Juliette kiss while Raul is still watching them from the other side of the street.

Later, Lisa tells Kerstin about meeting Raul the night before and that he seems to be okay. Kerstin is sceptical, but says that she hopes that Lisa is right. Meanwhile, Raul is out for a jog and seems to feel good when he suddenly sees Juliette. He hides behind a tree so she cannot see him. When she is gone, Raul breaks down and starts to cry.

Monday, April 19, 2010 (3799)

Juliette shows up at Back Dat with her friend Hanne. Kerstin seems to feel uneasy when she sees Juliette, but Juliette reminds her that she agreed to let Hanne use the bakery as a location for a photo shoot a couple of weeks earlier. Juliette apologizes and says that she knows that it’s not a good time, but that Hanne is counting on her.

Kerstin eventually agrees. Juliette thanks her and is about to leave again when Kerstin holds her back. She wants to know how Juliette is. Juliette answers “Ça va” (which means as much as “so-so”), then quickly turns around and leaves while Kerstin’s eyes are following her.

Later, Kerstin is at Daily’s to deliver bread. She tells Raul about Juliette and the photo shoot that is planned for the next day, and that Juliette will also be there for the photo shoot. Much to Kerstin’s suprise, Raul says that it’s okay for him, since it’s only a photo shoot. But after Kerstin has left, Raul looks worried and tells Carlos that he only said that he doesn’t have a problem because he did not want to come across as the jealous lover.

The next day at the bakery, Juliette, Hanne and her team set everything up for the photo shoot. Raul is also there, and Juliette thanks him for allowing them to have the photo shoot at Back Dat. Raul says that’s it’s not a problem, and makes a compliment about the scarf that Juliette is wearing. When he leaves the bakery, Kerstin kisses him goodbye. Juliette notices that and wistfully looks at them.

When one of the models for the photo shoot has to cancel at the last minute, Hanne convinces Juliette to fill in for her. Juliette asks Kerstin whether that would be okay for her, as Juliette would have to be half naked for the photo shoot, and Kerstin agrees. Before the photo shoot starts, Juliette assures Kerstin that she accepts her decision for Raul, if that’s what’s makes Kerstin happy.

But when Juliette is standing before Kerstin only wearing lingerie, Kerstin gets visibly nervous, and even more so during the photo shoot itself, when she sees Juliette doing sexy poses with the other model and some chocolates in front of the camera.

After the photo shoot, Juliette is at the apartment to remove her make up. Kerstin is also there, and cannot stop looking at Juliette. She says that she is sure that the photos will be beautiful, gorgeous, adorable.

Juliette seems to feel uneasy and barely dares to look at Kerstin, until Kerstin turns around to walk away. But then, all of a sudden, Kerstin comes back and hugs Juliette from behind.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010 (3800)

Kerstin is still hugging Juliette. She tells her that whenever she is close to her, everything seems to be enchanted. Juliette says that she missed Kerstin, and Kerstin replies that she missed her, too. Juliette turns around to look at Kerstin, and Kerstin kisses her.

Juliette kisses and caresses Kerstin and starts to list everything that she missed about her – her caress, her magic, her eyes, her mouth. Kerstin begins to unbutton her blouse, and Juliette does the same.

Raul is at Carlos’ apartment and waits for the photo shoot to end. Carlos’ notices how stressed and jealous Raul is, and convinces him that there’s no need to worry as Kerstin chose him.

Meanwhile, Kerstin and Juliette are sleeping together.

At night, Kerstin is alone and restless in her bed. She finds Juliette’s scarf and starts to cuddle with it, but when she hears Raul coming in, she quickly hides the scarf under a pillow and pretends to be asleep. Raul lies down next to her, hugs her and whispers “I love you”. When she hears that Kerstin looks sad.

The next morning, Juliette comes to the bakery. She wants to kiss Kerstin, but Kerstin avoids the kiss. Juliette snuggles up to Kerstin and tells her that she can still feel her touch.

Kerstin is worried that somebody might see them. When they hear footsteps, they quickly seperate. It’s Raul. Juliette says goodbye and leaves, while Raul is eyeing her suspiciously. Only half-jokingly, he asks whether Juliette slept in the bakery, but Kerstin quickly explains that Juliette just stopped by for no particular reason.

Raul and Kerstin talk about the photo shoot. Raul wants to snuggle up to Kerstin, but she tries to avoid his touch.

Later, the two of them have lunch at the apartment. Raul notices that Kerstin looks distracted, but she blames it on having a headache. After Kerstin has returned to the bakery, Raul gets ready to go back to work as well when he finds Juliette’s scarf in his and Kerstin’s bed.

Tuesday, March 30, 2010 (3787)

At “Back Dat”, Kerstin is longingly looking at the picture of Juliette that Heidi once put on the wall. Heidi asks her whether she has heard from Juliette. Kerstin says that she hasn’t, and that it’s probably better that way. To cheer Kerstin up, Heidi shows her two tickets that she got for a play they are going to see that night.

Raul comes to the bakery to pick up his mail. While he is waiting for Kerstin to get his mail, he overhears a conversation between Kerstin and a mechanic who was supposed to fix the broken espresso machine. He also sees the theater tickets that still lie on the counter.

Among Raul’s mail is a flyer for a vacation on the Maldive Islands. Raul reminds Kerstin that they once intended to go there. Kerstin remembers that they couldn’t go because they were broke. She smiles at Raul, but then quickly apologizes because she didn’t want to bring things like that up. She tells Raul that she has to go back to work and turns around to go to the kitchen, but he noticed that she looked sad for a moment.

Raul gets his toolbox and buys a bouquet of roses. On his way to Back Dat, he meets a friend who asks him about Kerstin. He tells her that he still loves Kerstin as much as he loved her at the very beginning of their relationship.

When Kerstin and Heidi return from the teater, they notice that somebody is in the bakery. Kerstin wants to call the police, but Heidi wants them to catch the burglar on their own. They go through the apartment, grab a rolling pin and sneak up on the “burglar”, but it turns out to be Raul who is trying to fix the espresso machine.

Raul explains to Kerstin that he wanted to surprise her. Kerstin notices the roses, and asks whether they are part of the surprise, too. Raul tells Kerstin that he misses her, and asks her how much longer it will take for her to come up with a decision. Kerstin replies that she doesn’t know.

Raul wants to know whether there is still a chance for them to get together again, but Kerstin doesn’t answer. Raul removes the key to the bakery from the key chain, puts it on the counter and tells Kerstin that from now on, he will leave her alone. Then he collects his things and leaves.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 (3788)

Kerstin is cleaning the espresso machine when she hears a knock on the window of the bakery. She thinks that it’s Raul and tells him to go away, but it is Heidi who came back to get her purse. She makes a comment about the flowers which are still lying on the counter. Kerstin picks up the flowers from the counter and looks at them. She doesn’t notice that a card that was plugged into the bouquet is falling down.

Kerstin tells Heidi that Raul won’t leave her alone even though she asked him to. Heidi defends Raul and says that he is fighting for Kerstin, but Kerstin says that that doesn’t help and that she needs her space. Heidi asks Kerstin whether she knows what she is doing, and whether she really wants to take the risk that Raul leaves, too.

Meanwhile, Raul has decided to do just that – leave. The next day, when he runs into Kerstin on the street, he tells her that he intends to leave Marienhof and go to Sevilla, and that he doesn’t know if he will ever return. They say goodbye and Raul goes away, but then Kerstin stops him and asks him if she could call him. He tells her that that is not a good idea.

At “Back Dat”, Heidi is trying to convince Kerstin to stop Raul from leaving, but Kerstin tells her that Raul has to do what he thinks is right for him. Heidi doesn’t agree. She finds the card that came with the roses and hands it to Kerstin. It’s a declaration of love by Raul. Wistfully, Kerstin starts to think of her time together with Raul.

In the evening, Raul says goodbye to Carlos and gets into a cab. When the cab is about to leave Marienhof, it is being stopped by Kerstin.

She asks Raul not to leave.

Thursday, April 1, 2010 (3789)

Raul asks Kerstin to give him a reason to stay. When she says that she couldn’t bear it if he left, he says that that’s not enough. The cab starts to go again, but after it has only gone a few metres, it’s being stopped again, this time by Raul.

Kerstin is back at Back Dat and has to think of her life with Raul. She gets a text message from Juliette, who writes that she misses Kerstin and asks if Kerstin misses her, too. The message reminds Kerstin of how she slept with Juliette, and of the fight she had with Raul when he found out about it. When she realizes how she has ruined her relationship with Raul, she breaks down and cries.

Th next morning, Juliette comes to the bakery. She notices that Kerstin is sad and asks for the reason. Kerstin tells her that Raul went to the airport the night before and that she couldn’t stop him even though she tried. More as a statement than a question, Juliette says that Kerstin loves Raul, and Kerstin says that she does.

Juliette asks what that means for them. Kerstin takes her hands and tells her that she has never met someone like Juliette, but that there is so much more that she and Raul share. Juliette wants to know whether that means that they don’t have a future together even if Raul doesn’t return, and Kerstin gently shakes her head.

Juliette is sad, but calm and collected. She wishes Kerstin luck and tells her that, no matter where she is, she will always be there for Kerstin. Kerstin replies that Juliette is a wonderful human being. Juliette looks like there is something else that she wants to say, but then she lets go of Kerstin and leaves.

Later, Kerstin shows up at Carlos’ and asks him to tell her where exactly Raul is. She tells Carlos that she loves Raul and that to hurt him like she did it was the biggest mistake she ever made. When Carlos still won’t tell her where Raul is, she is determined to travel to Spain to find him herself, but Raul – who heard everything from the other room – stops her.

Together, Raul and Kerstin return to their apartment…

Are Raul and Kerstin really MFEO (= Made For Each Other)? Or will there be another chance for Kerstin and Juliette? Without giving away too much, I can assure you that this was not the last time we have seen Juliette, there are more episodes with her coming up, starting next Monday, April 19th.

Kerstin is shocked when she realizes that Raul has slept with another woman.

When Nadine – the woman with the towel – realizes who Kerstin is, she offers to leave, but it is Kerstin who leaves instead, angrily slamming the door shut behind her. Raul wakes up from the noise, and when Nadine tells him what happened, he is far from pleased.

Kerstin is sitting in a doorway and crying when Juliette finds her. Kerstin tells Juliette that Raul cheated on her with another woman, but when Juliette disapproves of Raul’s behaviour, Kerstin defends Raul and even yells at Juliette to stop talking.

Kerstin blames herself for what Raul did because he is so deeply hurt by her betrayal. When Juliette states the obvious – that Kerstin is still in love with Raul – Kerstin snaps at her and leaves her alone in the doorway.

Kerstin and Juliette continue their argument outside of “Back Dat”. Kerstin keeps defending Raul, until Juliette eventually gives in. She apologizes to Kerstin for appearing smart-alecky, and tells Kerstin that this whole situation isn’t easy for her, either. When Kerstin has calmed down, Juliette suggests that maybe Kerstin needs to take time out from work and Raul and that they should go away for a while – just the two of them, but only as friends.

Later, Kerstin is in her room at the pension and dreams of being with Raul. They kiss and make out, but when they lie down on the bed, Juliette is there, and Kerstin starts to make out with her as well..

Kerstin starts from her sleep when her cell phone rings. It’s Raul who is trying to reach her, but she does not take the call. When there’s a knock on the door, Kerstin gets up to open it and finds Juliette standing there. She explains that she just wanted to check on Kerstin.

Juliette asks Kerstin whether Kerstin has thought about her suggestion to go away for the weekend, and Kerstin tells her that she wants to go, but alone. Juliette is disappointed, but doesn’t say anything.

Kerstin is waiting at the bus stop when Raul comes over to talk to her. He thinks that Kerstin is leaving with Juliette, but Kerstin explains to him that she is going away to have time to think and to make a decision, but that she needs to be alone in order to do that. He lets this information sink in, then briefly strokes her arm and leaves again.

Thursday, March 18, 2010 (3779)

Raul is trying to drown his lovesickness in alcohol. One morning, while still dealing with the hangover from the night before, he meets Juliette in the kitchen. She makes a comment about his condition, and he reacts dismissively and hostile. When she asks him to go apart so she can continue working on her chocolates, he slowly pushes a tray with chocolates from the counter before he leaves.

As the kitchen belongs both to the bakery and the apartment, Juliette has no choice but to continue working there while Raul is sitting in the living room, wallowing in self-pity and watching her hostilely, until he finally gets his coat and leaves.

In the evening, Raul can be seen doing carpentry at the apartment. Also, some more of Juliette’s chocolates end up in the trash.

When Heidi and Juliette open the bakery in the morning, they find the passageway to the kitchen blocked by a wooden wall. Juliette is furious. With the key that Kerstin gave her, she enters the apartment through the back door to confront Raul and remove the wall. Raul forcibly stops her and tries to take the key from her, thereby only making her more furious.

She yells at him that his behaviour won’t change Kerstin’s feelings for her, and that Kerstin slept with her because they are in love. In return, Raul threatens that he is going to let her have it if she takes Kerstin away from him.

Monday, March 8, 2010 (3771)

Heidi and Kerstin take a break outside the bakery when Juliette shows up. Heidi is delighted to see Juliette, while Kerstin does not look very happy. Heidi goes inside to take care of a customer, and Juliette wants to follow, saying that she just needs something from the kitchen, but Kerstin stops her.

For a moment, they look at each other longingly, but then Kerstin lets go of Juliette. She blames her for showing up even though they had agreed to not see each other for a while. Juliette apologizes, and explains that she just needed to see Kerstin because she missed her. Kerstin replies that she missed Juliette, too, but says that Juliette is only making things harder for them.

Juliette wants to know how Kerstin feels, and Kerstin explains that she is still confused and that her feelings are a mess. Juliette states that it looks like not seeing each other didn’t work, and Kerstin agrees.

Kerstin seems desperate when she says that she finally needs to figure out her feelings. Juliette touches her face in order to comfort her. Kerstin enjoys Juliette’s touch for a moment, but then pushes her hand away and asks her to stop.

Juliette looks hurt. She apologizes and says that she will not bother Kerstin any longer. Then she walks away. Kerstin calls her name, but Juliette doesn’t stop.

Later, Kerstin pours out her heart to her friend Sülo. She asks him how he realized that he was gay. He explains to her that he realized that he had fallen in love with somebody, even though it was a man, and that it wasn’t about being gay or straight, but about standing by one’s feelings.

Kerstin admits to Sülo that she has fallen in love with a woman. Sülo suggests that it might be a good idea if Kerstin tried to figure out whether she actually is into women at all. He tells her about a gay and lesbian party that night at Foxy, the local night club.

Kerstin is at home, nervously trying to figure out what to wear for her night out with Sülo, when Raul comes home. He compliments her on her looks, and asks her why she is dressing up. She explains that she is going out to Foxy with Sülo. He tells her again how great she looks, and jokingly asks her to better keep the men at bay.

At Foxy, the party is already in full swing when Kerstin and Sülo arrive. They nervously look around. Kerstin is feeling uneasy about being at the party and wants to leave again right away, but Sülo holds her back. A woman passes them and smilingly looks at Kerstin, which is setting her nerve’s even more on edge. Sülo suggests that they should try to just have a good time, and asks Kerstin for a dance.

Sülo and Kerstin are still on the dancefloor when a man comes up to them and asks whether he may cut in. Sülo agrees, thinking that the man wants to dance with Kerstin, and is surprised and a little helpless when the man starts to dance with him. Kerstin is amused by the situation, but then she sees somebody at the bar who looks like Juliette.

Sülo motions to Kerstin to help him, and she cuts in. While they are dancing again, Kerstin is looking for Juliette, but cannot see her anymore. Sülo is spinning Kerstin around, but then he lets go of her when the man from before cuts in again. When Kerstin comes to a stop, she is standing face to face with a surprised Juliette.

After her surprise encounter with Juliette, Kerstin decides to leave, but the woman who smiled at her before blocks her path and makes a pass at her.  Juliette emerges from the background and politely tells the woman to get lost.

Juliette tells Kerstin that she is yearning for Kerstin, every day, every minute, every second. Kerstin gently hushes Juliette. She looks at Juliette and starts to caress her cheek, then she kisses her.

While Kerstin and Juliette are making out in the back of the club, Raul and Carlos enter the club through the front door. They are surprised when they realize that it is a gay and lesbian party. Then Raul decides to look for his girlfriend…

Tuesday, March 9, 2010 (3772)

Kerstin and Juliette are still making out in the back of the club, oblivious to the fact that they are about to get caught by Raul. Luckily, there are now a lot of people at the club who are blocking Raul’s view and he can only see a glimpse of them, but not enough for him to recognize them. He meets Sülo and asks him for Kerstin, but Sülo doesn’t know where she is, either.

Kerstin lets go of Juliette for a moment and asks her whether she is thirsty. Juliette replies: “Only for you.” Kerstin smiles and kisses Juliette again, then she goes to get them drinks.

When Kerstin turns around, she sees Raul on the other side of the room, and immediately takes cover. Right that moment, Raul discovers Juliette. He and Carlos are surprised that Juliette is apparently a lesbian, while Sülo suddenly understands what is going on. Raul realizes that he just saw Juliette kissing another woman, and sets out again to find Kerstin because he is eager to tell her about the news. Sülo hurries the other way, apparently hoping to find Kerstin before Raul.

Kerstin manages to leave the club undetected. She is already out on the street when Raul eventually finds her. She acts surprised to see him. Raul tells her that he was at the party looking for her, but that he instead found Juliette. When he tells her that Juliette was making out with someone, Kerstin anxiously asks him whether he saw the woman Juliette was kissing.

Raul is surprised that Kerstin knows that it was a woman who Juliette was making out with, and asks her whether she knew that Juliette is a lesbian. Kerstin denies that, and explains that she guessed it because it was a “rainbow party”. Raul accepts her explanation, and they go home together.

The next morning, Juliette is all smiles when she comes to the bakery, which is packed with customers. She greets Heidi, then goes over to Kerstin and wants to know why Kerstin left without saying something the night before. Kerstin tells her that Raul was at Foxy, and that they desperately need to talk.

She wants to go outside with Juliette, but a snarky comment from Heidi brings home the message that there are too many customers at the moment. Juliette says that she is going to run some errands first and come back later. Kerstin tries to stop her, but then lets her go.

Later, Raul visits Kerstin at the bakery. He asks whether Juliette has a day off, or whether she is having a date with the chick from the night before. Heidi is confused by this remark, and tells him that Juliette is delivering chocolates to customers, but will be back any minute.

When Kerstin hears that Juliette will return soon, she tries to get rid of Raul. She tells him that she is too busy to have coffee with him. While she is hugging him, she sees Juliette who is about to enter the bakery. She motions to her not to come in, until Juliette eventually understands and goes away. Kerstin promises Raul to meet him for a drink later, and he finally agrees and leaves. After he is gone, Heidi looks at Kerstin with disbelief.

In the evening, with no customers left, Kerstin asks Heidi for Juliette and is shocked when Heidi tells her that Juliette went over to Daily’s, Raul’s and Carlos’ café.

At Daily’s, Juliette is already on her way out when Raul, who is curious to learn more about the woman Juliette was with the night before, asks her to stay for a coffee. Juliette doesn’t want to, but eventually agrees.

Meanwhile, Kerstin is trying to call Juliette, but only gets her voicemail. Heidi is confused by Kerstin’s behaviour and then gets angry when Kerstin decides to go over to Daily’s herself, but Kerstin promises to be back right away.

Raul and Juliette talk about the party at Foxy the night before. Raul tells Juliette that he saw her with “you know who”.

Juliette is shocked as she thinks that he is talking about Kerstin, and confused as he seems to take the situation in stride. Incredulously, she asks him again if it really isn’t a problem for him. Now it’s Raul’s turn to be confused, and he wants to know what Juliette is talking about.

Juliette tells him that she is in love with Kerstin.
