The Most Enchanting German Women 2010
6.5. Esther Schweins

Even though she has been busy acting in both TV shows and movies for the last couple of years, most people automatically think of “RTL Samstag Nacht” when they hear the name Esther Schweins. From 1994 to 1998, she was on the German version of “Saturday Night Life”, and made TV audiences laugh with the various different characters she played, most notably Kristiane Kacker, a parody of then MTV host Kristiane Backer.

On “RTL Samstag Nacht”
After leaving the show in 19998, she had regular parts on TV shows like “Die Cleveren” and “Ein Fall für den Fuchs” and starred in a number of TV movies. Since 2001, she is the host of two TV shows about theater. Besides her television work, she has also been busy behind the camera. For example, she directed the extremely popular play “Caveman”, and last year put another project with “Caveman” star Kristian Bader on stage called “Hi Dad”. And if you still think that you haven’t heard from her in ages, you might have without being aware of it, at least if you have watched any of the “Shrek ” movies, because she is the voice of Princess Fiona.
In 2004, Esther Schweins and her mother barely survived the Tsunami in the Indian Ocean. Since then, she became involved with charity work for the victims of the flood. The mother of two currently lives with her family on the island of Mallorca.

WOW! Your readers got a real good taste, MeL! I feel that the inspiration for another video dedicated only to the 12 winning ladys is coming to my mind.
I’m a little bit proud that Meike Schlüter is still in the mind of people ’round here or maybe my little interference with a few pictures of her in the video worked.
Btw thank you for considering my little slideshow video the must see of the week, I am really flattered!
When I get my computer back (hopefully tomorrow) I will start to work on the winning ladys video. The power supply was damaged and that ruined also my hard disc drive. Luckily I saved most of the data on an external drive, so I should be able to begin right then, when the repair is done.

A few days ago, I had the chance to personally tell Anne Will that she was voted “Most Enchanting German Woman” by you. At first, she joked that there was probably only one name on the list of candidates, but when I told her that there was no list of candidates at all, and that she also got votes from outside of Germany, she was very impressed. We only talked briefly, but it was enough to convince me that the result of this poll was very well deserved, she’s very nice, charming, and also very attractive.
I didn’t have the chance to talk to Miriam Meckel as well, but I told Anne Will that her girlfriend made the list of Most Enchanting Women as well. Anne joked that it’s better to not let Miriam know that she only came in 3rd.
I know it’s only September, but after this chance meeting, I’m sure which real-life couple will definitely make my “Enchanting Women of 2010″ list.
Olá, sou fã de Claudia Hiersche.Alguém sabe quando ela volta a TV ou ao cinema?
Saudades de Claudia Hiersche.

Will there be a new poll this year: Most Enchanting German Women 2011?
I’m pretty sure I already know which two lovely ladies would come in on spot #1 and #2.
I’m sure about that, too.
Unfortunately, at the moment, it’s because of those two ladies that I’m way too busy to conduct another poll.
But maybe later this year.
