Carla and Stella are at Louise and Gregor’s apartment and watch how Louise and Gregor, who decided to travel to Waldensteyck, try to close one of Louise’s suitcases. The four of them talk about Carla and Stella’s plan to leave for the Niagara Falls the very next day.

Louise is surprised that they intend to leave again so soon, but Carla explains to her that there are too many unpleasant memories in Düsseldorf, like Ansgar and Maria. Stella adds that Maria’s deceit actually was the final straw for Carla.

Louise still cannot believe what Maria, who was Louise’s private secretary and confidante for years, did. Carla says that she does not care about making up with Maria, because she is nothing else than a pathetic liar. Right that moment, Louise’s cell phone rings. Louise sees that it is Maria, and decides not to take the call.
Later, Maria shows up at Louise and Gregor’s apartment. Carla and Stella are still there, and Carla does not look too happy when she sees Maria. Maria asks if she can come in, but Louise tells her that another time would be better. After taking another look at Carla, who is flirting with Stella, Maria agrees and leaves.
