Enchanting Women of 2009

And there were also:

The German national women’s soccer team, who beat England 6:2 in the final of the European championship and won the title for the seventh time, the fith time in a row +++ Musician Jen Foster, whose song “I Didn’t Just Kiss Her” was the perfect answer to Katy Perry’s infamous “I Kissed a Girl”, and whose music can now be heard in the new web series “Venice”. +++ Lesbian-themed web series, like “Anyone But Me” about the teenage girl Vivian, who moves from New York to the suburbs and has to deal with a new school, new friends, and trying to keep her relationship with girlfriend Aster alive, or the very funny “Seeking Simone” about an actress whose best friend talks her into trying online dating.

Last but not least:  This Blog

“Enchanting Women | Bezaubernde Frauen – MeL’s Blog” was officially launched on July 31st of this year. With the help of AfterEllen’s Sarah Warn, who was kind enough to post a link to my Verbotene Liebe recaps in that day’s “Best. Lesbian. Week. Ever.”, it had more visitors on the first day than I could ever have hoped for.

The most popular article of 2009 as measured by page views was Warten auf das Coming-Out – Homosexualität im Frauenfußball, a German article about homosexuality in women’s soccer, followed by The Women of “Stargate” and Verbotene Liebe Special – All About Carla & Stella. Most people who came to this blog via a search engine were looking for “linda bresonik” or “linda bresonik inka grings”, and also “carla and stella”.

Who would be your choices for “Enchanting Women of 2009″? And what was your favorite TV show, movie, book or song in 2009? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
