3. What Happens Next? (Spoilers for episodes 3502 and 3503)
One of the waiters at Gregor’s and Louise’s wedding reminds Stella of an event in her past. While Carla is making plans for their own wedding, Stella worries that, after having had too much to drink, she might have gotten married on a cruise ship. Christian arranges a meeting with her “husband”. Later, Carla and Stella eventually leave Königsbrunn together to go on their round-the-world trip.
4. The Actresses
Claudia Hiersche
Before she became Carla von Lahnstein, Claudia Hiersche was already known to German TV audiences from hosting various TV shows.
Born in Frankfurt/Oder (former Eastern Germany) in 1977, her family had to leave the GDR when Claudia was only 8 years old. She started doing television when she was only 17, and hosted various TV shows on RTL and MTV. In 2000, she became host of “Wolkenlos”, a popular travel magazine on German TV channel Vox.
For “Wolkenlos”, Claudia travelled the world for two years, until she decided to quit her job and move to New York to take acting classes. After a small part in the TV movie “Schwer verknallt”, she was hired for Verbotene Liebe. Her character Carla von Lahnstein first appeared in episode 2060 in September of 2003.
According to a fan website, Claudia is now no longer a series regular on Verbotene Liebe, and had her last day of shooting in September of this year. There is a possibility that she might return for guest appearances, though.
Anne Wis
When Anne Wis made her debut appearance on Verbotene Liebe in December of 2008, her face probably seemed familiar to a lot of viewers. No wonder, because Anne was already a successful model and the face of NIVEA before she went into acting.
Anne was born in Berlin in 1976. After graduating from school with “Abitur”, she took part in a model competition and won. She has been modeling ever since. Her friend and fellow model Monica Ivancan, who plays Kitty Kübler on Verbotene Liebe, put Anne in contact with the producers of the show. During the casting, she had to play a scene with “Carla” Claudia Hiersche. They hit it off right away, and Anne got the part as Stella Mann. She first appeared in episode 3292.
Anne’s last appearance on Verbotene Liebe – at least for now – will be next week, when her character Stella leaves Königsbrunn to go on a round-the-world trip with her fiancé Carla. There has been no word yet whether Anne might return for guest appearances as well.
